Konigsplatz Revisited
The first time I visited this place, I was truly amazed at its architecture. The Propyläen was very impressive. Konigsplatz may be considered as part of the Museum areas in Munich. A few meters away from the Propyläen are the Alte and Neu Pinakothek.
I found it stunning to take the picture of the landmarks in Konigsoplatz at night because the other distractions can not be seen, such as scafoldings and other irregularities.
Spent my Sunday night revisiting Konigsplatz

Making the most of my ND8X
I stumbled upn 2 fountains at the Universitat (can not change my "a" umlaut) of Munich. and how gee, why dont i try to use more of my ND8X filter. So this fountain was a very good sample. The flow of the water became silky smooth and I was pleased to see the result of the photograph.
It took a while to get the exposure right, around 30 seconds and it was a bit cold, nevertheless it was worth it!
Seigestor at night
This is one of the places which i have photographed over and over again.
but this time its different, i equiped myself with an ND8X filter to prolong my exposures and lowered down my ISO to 50. it took around 40seconds to get one image, but it was well worth the wait.
Tailing lights were superb and the exposure was dead on, i did not make too many adjustments on the photograph itself. i just let it stand out.
Here are some photos of the Seigestor at night.

Weekend Trip to Fussen
What a day that was! It was the one that I've hoped for and finally becoming a reality. Seeing Ludwig's dream castle at portrait blue skies. It was picturesque, like seeing a postcard sold at Marienplatz.
The Sunday started off with a train ride from Munich Hauptbahnhof to Kaufbeuren then from there to Fussen.
The first part of the journey painted a picture of the industrial Munich and the second part amazed me the most..vast meadows of greenery and olden structures filled every inch of my vision. The feeling is like you want to get out of the train and start taking pictures.
If you are a landscape photographer, then this trip is a heaven for you.
This is my 5th trip to Fussen but it never dulled me a bit. If asked would you like to go there again?...hell yeah! photographs of this place are priceless!

Hang 10....Munich Style
Its uncommon to see surfing in Munich...Due to the good weather here in late August 2010, I stumbled upon these CRAZY fellaz ridin' the waves, and you wouldn't believe where.... its just across the Japanese tea house of the English Garden.
I find these guys...and one gal, really good on these artificial waves, thought it's a bit dangerous because as i've heard, the wave was caused by a big rock under the gushing water from the isar river.
Anyway, it was a cool thing to see this in munich.

A Short Day with Charles Pertwee
Consider it luck....My work colleague wanted to buy a classic canon 5D (What a downgrade from a 5D mark2) He ended up buying the camera from a very well accomplished photojournalist.
At first he asked me to look at the guy's webpage...and to my surprise, his website was very impressive!
His name: CHARLES PERTWEE
During our rushed trip going to plaza singapura (we basically made a record of walking from our workplace to the nearest MRT station) we were pondering on how this guy would look like, Is he arrogant?, is he snobbish?, will he even talk to us? these thoughts were really running in our heads and we were so lightheaded just to make fun out of it. By the way, call us the Jakun Tribe (Master Jakun, Jester Jakun and Sweet Potato...you know who you are!)
Ok, Dhoby Ghaut MRT station, 1810H Master Jakun calls Charles (New BFF), we were up in front of Auntie Anne's, heart pounding with excitement and anxiety....and to our surprise...he was plain as porridge! no nothing, just plain him! we were all surprised on how humble and friendly he was.
Of course, Master jakun had to deal with him first regarding the purchase of the camera....after that, everything was history.
I was so impressed with his pictures that I printed it and asked for his autograph! <- call it mega jakun! hahahaha but i know somebody who's more jakun than me! again <- you know who you are :)
Charles: Bye to the canon 5D <- you've been with me through thick and thin.
Master Jakun: Hello to your new master! <- What an honor.
The day ended with us eating German franks and talking about the fun experience we had that day!
